Unless you live in or around Kansas City Missouri, you probably haven’t gotten a chance to visit the Kansas City Public Library.
Lucky for us, KCPL has some wonderful digital collections online for all to enjoy. Among the digital collections you will find a collection of Advertising Cards like the one to the right. The collection contains over 700 advertising cards from local businesses from the 1800s onward.
While visiting the digital collection at KCPL, take moment to check out the Postcard collection. This collection has over 800 items starting in the early 1900s like the Thanksgiving postcard 1910 ca on the left.
There are many collections to discover at the Kansas City Public Library besides the 2 mentioned above. In addition you will find the Aerial Views collection, Autochromes collection, Family collections, Maps, and the Native American & Western Photograph Collection to name just a few.
